SHIPPING AND HANDLING
Rankine’s Remedies takes no responsibility for any loss, damages, or delay that may occur in shipping your order. In case of unforeseen demand, please allow at least 2-8 weeks delivery of your order. Rankine’s Remedies is proud to offer Canada Post or Canpar/UPS shipping for all our Canadian and US customers. Please remember that our standard in-house processing time (3-7 business days) still applies; time-in-transit is in addition to our processing time. Your order will be carefully packaged and prepared for shipment from our facility in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada within 3-7 business days from receipt of your order. You can anticipate an additional 2-7 business days for delivery within Canada and 5-10 business days for delivery to the lower 48 states. Both Canada Post and other carriers will send a tracking number via email to each client upon shipment. This email serves as your confirmation of shipment and we suggest you retain it in your records until the order is received. The products ordered by you will be delivered to you at the address provided by you on checkout at the Rankine's Remedies Online Store, as set forth in the Invoice Receipt.
Once an order has been confirmed we will not accept any additions or deletions. Should you wish to have any item removed after the order has been packed, a restock fee will be applied to cover the cost of removing the item(s) and repacking the order. The fee will be $12.00 or 20% of the cost of the items removed, whichever is the greater amount. Any additions will be treated as a new order with all applicable guidelines.
Please ensure that all orders are accurate prior to finalizing. Orders are not shipped on weekends or on statutory holidays in Canada. Given the popularity of some products, Rankine's Remedies may restrict the number of such items that you may purchase. SIGNATURE RELEASE DELIVERY OPTIONS
In all deliveries in Canada we require a Signature Release for all deliveries to both residential and commercial addresses. This means that someone must be available to sign for your package at the shipping address when a Canada Post or Canpar or UPS driver attempts delivery. Please note that a driver will leave an Info Notice for you at the shipping address if no one is available when delivery is attempted. Please respond in a timely manner to any Information/Delivery Attempt Notices ('carded') left so that your package can be delivered expeditiously. If you fail to respond to the official notice and your package is returned to us undelivered after 30 days then you forfeit any order refund; we can reship the order to Canadian and USA addresses only, but you are responsible for all additional shipping and handling fees; flat-rate shipping and handling fees (i.e. $15.95) or 'Free Shipping' discounts or promotions will not apply to your order reshipment and you will be electronically invoiced for actual shipping and handling costs.
If your package is returned to us undelivered after 30 days, then you will be responsible for any shipping fees associated with reshipment that are charged to Rankine's Remedies. This policy has been designed to offer you the safest, most reliable delivery possible and we appreciate your cooperation.
Rankine’s Remedies offers International Shipping to clients located in the United States, European Union and throughout Oceania.
Rankine’s Remedies uses Canada Post Small Packet™ International Air service for our international customers outside of North America. All international packages will be insured up to $100. Unfortunately, if you don’t see your country listed in the drop-down menu during checkout, then shipping to your locale is not available at this time. We’re working hard to expand our international capabilities and encourage you to check back soon. Free shipping offers do not apply to destinations located outside Canada and the United States.
You are responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from rankines.com, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.
Orders shipped to countries outside of Canada may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees that are levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates. Shipments to any PO Boxes are at the customer’s own risk. We will only refund a maximum of $100 CAD for missing Canadian or USA PO Box orders.
International customers from outside of Canada will be responsible for payment of any applicable duties at the time an order arrives at its destination. If you refuse the items at time of delivery you will still be charged for the shipping and all specified return charges. You must contact your local Department of Commerce for information about any duty and taxes that may be added.
Only Canadian and USA customer orders are eligible for return/exchanges.
There will be a $25.00 administration, processing and environmental disposal charge applied to all returns and refunds. Product that is returned to us used, opened, and/or damaged will be immediately disposed of in an environmentally safe method using green disposal procedures.
Customers are responsible for return shipment charges. No shipping charges will be refunded, which includes returned product shipping charges to Rankine's Remedies incurred by the customer or the original incurred shipping and handling charges on regular or 'free shipping' promotional orders from Rankine's Remedies.
We are not responsible for return packages that may be lost or damaged in transit. We recommend that you choose a method of shipping with tracking and insurance.
Customers must obtain an RMA# and return their item(s) within 15 days of the shipment of their order, unless otherwise noted on the product’s detail page.
Returned products are subject to inspection by Rankine’s Remedies staff. All parts, pieces, printed materials, and any original product packaging must be returned. Please do not return empty products.
Returns that do not meet the return policy criteria will not qualify for a refund and may be returned to the customer or destroyed. Refund eligibility is determined once your return is received and inspected. We reserve the right to refuse a refund on any return shipment.
Unauthorized returns will not be accepted under any circumstances. In such circumstances, we will notify you that no refund will be available and you will be responsible for all shipping and handling fees for such goods to be returned to you within 15 business days of our notification.
Any samples or professional wholesale orders are not eligible for return or exchange.
Any special offers or arrangements associated with your original order will be void on reshipment.
You will receive an email confirmation when your return is received and your refund is being processed.

Returns will be processed and approved credits issued within five business days of receipt. Credit card refunds are subject to the credit issuing organization's refund policy and procedures and can take up to 5-7 business days once issued by Rankine's Remedies. Credit card refunds can only be issued within thirty (30) days from the date of the original order purchase through our online payment processing service; after thirty (30) days have expired from the date of the original order, any refund amount will be issued in the form of a Canadian or United States of America money order.
If, for any reason, we reship a full or partial order to your specified address and it is again returned to Rankine's Remedies as unclaimed or unaccepted or claimed as missing, or claimed as damaged, you will forfeit any refund or reimbursement for your order.
We will only refund a maximum of $100 CAD for missing Canadian and United States PO Box orders following the conclusion of mandatory postal administration / courier investigations. Postal administration / courier investigations for missing or undelivered or damaged packages can take up to 4 months. We do not ship to PO Boxes outside of North America.
If an error has been clearly made by us on an order, we will gladly pay for re-shipment. All errors arising from miscommunication on verbal orders will be the responsibility of the customer and they will be accountable for return freight. Please use the online ordering system at Rankine's Remedies whenever possible.
Rankine’s Remedies is an online retailer. Please note that we are unable to process walk-in returns.
HOW TO START THE RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION (RMA) PROCESS
You will login to your account on the regional website in the 'My Account' section.
In the Track Your Recent Orders section, you will click on the View Details link for the order they would like to initiate the RMA for.
Once in the order, you will click on the "Add New RMA" button.
You will choose the number of items they want to return in the Order Items section.
In the Order Return Options section, you will choose the Reason and Method for the return.
Finally, you can add comments in the Comments section. This is optional on your part. Once done, you will click Save RMA and en email will be sent to you and the Rankine’s Remedies Returns Department.
After initiating the RMA, you will receive an automated email advising that the RMA was received. The message will contain the order number, the RMA number and instructions to await a response before shipping the product back.
LOST SHIPMENT/DAMAGED GOODS POLICY
Incidents of damage during shipment and lost items or parcels occurs very, very rarely. The following information is provided in the extremely unlikely event of loss or damage to a shipment. We encourage all clients to review the information provided below because there is no substitute for being prepared.
a) Whenever possible, do NOT sign for or accept delivery of any parcel that looks like it has been opened and/or damaged in transit unless and until the postal service or courier notes the issues with the shipment on the waybill, packing list, or shipping label. Please note that articles damaged within the mail system may need to be directed to postal headquarters or the delivery agent for inspection before a reimbursement or replacement occurs.
b) Inspect the contents of the damaged parcels immediately and take note of any damaged or missing items therein.
c) In accordance with Canpar, Canada Post, U.S. Postal Service and courier policies, we (the shipper) must initiate the loss or damage claim with the shipping service.
It is vital that we be contacted as soon as possible to start the paperwork. Please do not forget to have your invoice number and full contact information ready. We must file damage claims with the shipping company no later than 30 (thirty) days after the items were shipped from us or we will not be compensated! d) Once we have filed a claim with Canpar, Canada Post, U.S. Postal Service or the courier, a service ticket will be issued and an official investigation into the matter will be undertaken. Your contact information will be provided to Canpar, Canada Post, U.S. Postal Service or the courier for the investigation.
Note to international customers: It can take 30 to 90 or more calendar days for Canada Post, the foreign postal administration, or the courier to coordinate their investigation efforts and then to respond to the investigation service ticket. It can take up to three to six months to resolve a claim outside of North America.
e) Rankine's Remedies will not issue a replacement or reimbursement until the official investigation is concluded by Canada Post, U.S. Postal Service, the delivery agent, or the courier. To assure prompt resolution, please provide the order number and keep the box, packing materials and the damaged items for inspection by the carrier. This policy is only applicable to purchases made online; we are unable to process returns for purchases made within a partnered retail location. The customer is responsible for taking care of their item, once received. We do not issue reimbursements for intentional customer abuse to products.
MISSING OR CARRIER RETURNED ORDERS POLICY
Occasionally a postal/courier carrier will scan a package as delivered before it arrives at the final destination. When this happens, the package is usually delivered within the next few business days.
If Canada Post and/or USPS and/or Canpar and/or UPS and/or FEDEX tracking status shows your parcel successfully delivered, Rankine's Remedies understand it has been. There is no recourse for customers claiming non-delivery, or realizing they entered the wrong shipping address or shipping information. Under these circumstances the customer undertakes all culpability.
See if someone else accepted delivery. Check with household members, neighbours, building managers, the mail room, front desk, and anyone else who may have accepted the delivery. Look around the delivery location. Carriers sometimes leave packages in a safe, hidden place like on a side porch, in/around your garage, or behind bushes. Look for a notice of attempted delivery. You may find an attempted delivery notice in your mailbox or P.O. Box or on your door. Follow the instructions on that notice to request redelivery or pick up the package. Contact the carrier.

All unclaimed or refused shipments returned to us by the postal service are subject to any "return way" shipping costs plus the exact original shipping charge that was paid by us to send the parcel. If any shipping costs were paid by the customer, those costs will be deducted from any additional charges. Returned packages are subject to an additional $25.00 administration and environmental disposal fee.
WRONG DELIVERY ADDRESS
It is up to you to provide the correct shipping address and recipient information. Our pick and packing system is entirely automated meaning your order is going to arrive at the destination you specify and to the person you specified. If an order does not arrive due to a faulty address or recipient information, then the customer undertakes all culpability. We can reship a returned order, but free shipping will not apply and you will be sent an electronic invoice for any reship fees. Reship fees must be paid before your items are reshipped.
SEIZED BY CUSTOMS
Although rare, Customs can seize packages for any reason. Please check with your local Customs authorities as to why your parcel was held up. You may be required to pay a VAT or fee to release the package.
We ship to PO Boxes within North America at the customer’s own risk. Due to the small nature of PO Boxes and disparate accommodations too many variables could lead to parcel loss. We will only refund a maximum of $100 CAD for missing Canadian or USA PO Box orders ONLY.
